A fair reflection (John William Godward)

John William Godward (1861 – 1922) was was an English artist from the end of the Neo-Classicist era. He was a master of rendering different kind of textures, marble and fur, and the skin of his beautiful goddess models. A fair reflection (1915) is a remarkable example of his style. The sitter is his favorite model, an Italian woman. She's standing in front of a mirror, arranging her hair on the top of her head.
