Henri Matisse was a French artist, considered one of the most influential figures in 20th-century art, known for his use of vibrant color and his fluid, original draughtsmanship. He was a leading figure in Fauvism, a movement known for its bold use of color, and later developed his signature style of "drawing with scissors" using cut-outs.
