Aubrey Beardsley

Aubrey Beardsley was the most controversial artists of the art nouveau period. He is most well-known for his dark and perverse images and the grotesque erotica. He did illustrations for books, plays and magazines including Oscar Wilde’s play “Salome” and Sir Thomas Mallory’s “The Death of Atthur”. He died of Tuberculosis at the age of 25.
