Blue Kintsugi Inspired Wedding Stationery

Inspired by Kintsugi, the Japanese art of gold joinery; repairing pottery with gold inlay, enhancing the beauty and elegance of the piece. I found this to be a perfect allegory for marriage. Two imperfect and possibly broken individuals joined in a way that enhances the other’s beauty and creates something new and lovely. The implied Kitsugi technique, combined with a vintage Japanese painting called Blossoming Cherry on a Moonlit Night (ca. 1932) by Ohara Koson create a memorable and unique suite.
