Capoeira Canavial is a group located in Minneapolis, MN & Fort Collins, CO, that practices and promotes the Brazilian martial art of capoeira. Canavial is the Portuguese word for a sugar plantation. African slaves in Brazil were known to practice capoeira and maculelê in these fields.
