Comet NEOWISE in Night Sky

The comet Neowise is visible among the stars in the summer sky of 2020, both before sunrise and after sunset as it loops around the Sun. NEOWISE was named after NASA’s Near-Earth Object Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer space telescope. It will return for another viewing in about 6,800 years. The comet is about 3 miles across and likely comprised of a mixture of water and dust.
