Lacecap hydrangeas are so beautiful! I love the changes in the floral composition from sterile to fertile flowers and the variations in color from the chartreuse, to the periwinkle and pale whitish-periwinkle. When we moved into our home, I was excited to see these hydrangeas in full bloom. I had grown up with gorgeous hydrangeas at my parents’ home and was excited to discover them both here in Charleston home and in Ireland, my home away from home, as well. That connective thread and nostalgia, along with their beauty, provides me with a comforting impact every time I see them.
