Mustard Seed Pods

This design collection is based on the dried seed pods of Mustard plant. They are beautiful textural treasures found in nature in summer, in the Northeast of U.S.A. Normally I make a painting of a species and then create a design collection based on it. But there minimalist beauty in the form of many straight/ linear seed pods from a single stem deserved a novel approach. They were artistically arranged first and then their digital images were made with a camera. With artistic touches they were enhanced further.
