Pilipinas Ink
Some places don't just live on a map. They live
in the body — in the smell of rice paddies at
dawn, the sound of a kalesa on cobblestone,
the weight of a sampaguita garland placed around
your neck before a long goodbye.
Pilipinas Ink is a collection
rendered in the ancient East Asian tradition of
sumi-e ink wash painting — monochromatic black
ink and warm gold on aged cream parchment,
framed by continuous indigenous Filipino
geometric borders that honor the weaving
traditions of the archipelago's many peoples.
Each tells a complete story across
three connected panels. From the ruins of
Cagsawa to the open Pacific. From the walled
streets of Intramuros to the lotus gardens
of Lake Sebu. From the last light of
dapithapon to the warm lamp of the
bahay kubo at night.
These are not travel prints. They are
portraits of a nation — its land, its
people, its memory, and its soul.
Designed for the Filipino home,
the Filipino heart, and everyone
who has ever loved these islands
from far away.
