Rita Gordon Siglain

Rita has been a devotee of Avatar Adi Da Samraj since 1975 and traveled with him around the U.S. as his personal cook. She has also been a professional editor and writer for many years. In 1997 she was offered the opportunity to take a ride on Jingle Baba, Avatar Adi Da’s first camel at Fear-No-More Zoo in California. This was a profound experience that marked the beginning of her service to the camels in her spare time and continues to this day. Moved by Adi Da’s Play with the camels, she wrote a children's book as a gift for him. He spent a long time reviewing it, offering great instruction that guided her through several revisions. The Story of Yaneshwari, written by Rita and beautifully illustrated by Melany Fay, is a magical story based on true events about a friendship between a little girl, a duck, and the Great Spiritual Master Adi Da Samraj. We are very happy to have this collection of items featuring images from these beautiful books in our shop.
