Urizen

William Blake, Frontispiece to The Song of Los (1795). The picture shows Urizen who is presiding over the decline of morality. Honestly, I don't know much about Los and Urizen, I just like the picture. Urizen or Los don't know a thing about that. William Blake is one of those artists that I have always liked, in an intuitive way. I think it has something to do with the way he depicts people, the innocence of it. Not many people knew about William Blake during his lifetime either. Today, however, he is more recognised and considered a "seminal figure in the history of the poetry and visual arts of the Romantic Age." (Wikipedia)
