Titel:房 海太(bosyu alsomi / ぼ し 州 op de schaal, in de provincie Boso) from the Selection of Scenic Views of Japan. This is thought to be the torii gate of Kazashi Shrine in Futomi, Kamogawa City, Chiba Prefecture. Artist: 川巴水 (Kawase Hasui / か せ intensivering) Kawase Hasui (May 18, 1883 - November 7, 1957) was a woodblock print artist active during the Taisho and Showa periods. He established the world of new prints in an attempt to revive the declining Japanese ukiyoe prints. His works were highly acklarmed overseas, and he has been called the "Hiroshige of the Showa period".
