Floral Greeting Card Feestdagenkaart

The inspiration for this piece is a thrifted backpack I recently bought. It is a Vera Bradley backpack with the Island Bloom design. I absolutely loved the green and blue color scheme with black outlines contrasting against white flower petals. It almost looks like stained glass. I wanted to do something similar, but obviously, not too similar. I composed the layout for this painting by kind of just throwing together a bunch of random flowers and foliage, then added the moon and a few simple stars. I love how it turned out. It has almost like "A Midsummer Night's Dream" mysticism to it for me, while carrying over the green and blue scheme I envisioned. I have always struggled with painting and drawing flowers, so this was big progress for me.
