This get well card serves as an affirmation for developing skills of adaptation in a time of illness or sickness. It affirms your commitment to being a supportive friend or supportive family member. Inside the card is a variation on this message ‘Your health is calling for changes to be made. I see this challenge in your life. I support you in any changes you need to make. Please let me know what I can do to help you feel more comfortable when we spend time together.’ You are here to offer support. You may not know what to do to help, but you are willing to learn. This card is suitable to give to someone living with ME/CFS (myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome), fibromyalgia, lupus, and many other chronic illnesses. A get well card is not suitable for someone living with chronic illness. Instead this card helps them by offering your support and encouragement in the changes they need to make.
