Curating Moments, Framing Memories Growing up I always doodled on the edges of notebooks and drew on the paper bag covers of my textbooks. I found that I enjoyed art classes, but I never truly felt I had something to share. I realized I needed to hone in my skills and focus on the things I felt needed work. I am a hobbyist and mostly self-taught. Once I was able to find my means of expression I wanted to share my work with the world. Fast forward to the world coming to a halt at the end of 2019 As the world itself froze, my personal life became shattered when my grandmother, my best friend and confidant growing up passed away. I found the grieving process to be harsh, it was a catalyst for me to seek change and found hope in the paints my grandmother left me. Art Unleashed Having a love of animals and previously put in about 10 years into the veterinary industry I found my muse specializing in dog portraits. Realism with a slight cartoonish flair. It’s my own personal touch to convey their animated personalities. Through my art I have been able to pour my heart and soul into every painting as simple or complex. Some require hours and days, a variety of mediums, brushes and forms or paint. I hope you enjoy the collection as much as I enjoyed curating it.
