Make Piece is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization designing creative pathways to living wages for every family. In the context of a high-end jewelry business, low-income individuals (primarily African American women in our nation's capital) learn a marketable skill, financial literacy, small business basics, job readiness, and life skills. After graduation, they may continue working with the organization to expand the market for their wares, seek a job using their skills, or begin their own small business. We're making art :: changing lives.
