Ever since I can remember I have been fascinated by the Victorian, Edwardian and early 1900s era. I'd watch old black & white films on a loop, captivated by the elegance of the ladies' fashions and the opulence of the decor. Now I'm older and a keen historian and photographer myself I truly appreciate how special that time was with respect to science, technology, literature and art. I spend many happy hours watching vintage cinematic reels or browsing through old photos of people long since gone; pondering who they were and what kind of lives they had. I wonder if those photographers and artists could have ever imagined that people would still be viewing their work over a hundred years later (and I can only imagine what people in another hundred years will make of some of the photographs from today!) I get a lot of pleasure out of sourcing old images and bringing them back to life. They should be seen and enjoyed!
