The east coast paper boy is Fernando Alfonso III. After graduating from The University of Connecticut in 2009, Fernando accepted a fellowship to the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications in Syracuse, NY. He is in the magazine, newspaper and online journalism program. At UConn, Fernando interned at the Journal Inquirer Newspaper, the Hartford Courant and the Hartford Magazine. He also studied under Ann Charters, Carl Benson, Scott Bradfield and Samuel Pickering. In 2008 Fernando studied in London. While there, some of the countries he visited were France, Spain, Italy, Austria, Hungary and the Czech Republic. As of January 2010, Fernando is a contributing writer at Syracuse'sPost-Standard newspaper while he continues his studies at Newhouse.
