VFA-14 is the Navy's oldest active duty TACAIR squadron. Also known as the "TOPHATTERS" of Strike Fighter Squadron Fourteen. Based at Naval Air Station (NAS) Lemoore VFA-14 operates F/A-18E Super Hornets, one of the Navy's most exciting and versatile strike fighter aircraft. As a component of Carrier Air Wing Eleven (CVW-11), the squadron is attached to the USS Nimitz battle group.
