Founded in 1897, the Inland Lake Yachting Association is comprised of over 40 individual yacht clubs and sponsors championship racing for seven classes of scows and the International Optimist dinghy. ILYA members include an America's Cup winner and Olympic medalists. The ILYA helps generations maintain sailing traditions through participation with local clubs and and competitions.
