Melissa Walley, a native New Yorker, if any truly exist, was born in 1986. Melissa spent the better half of her childhood in Williamstown, Massachusetts. She studied painting at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago before transferring to MassArt where she completed her B.F.A. in 2007 with a concentration in Illustration. Melissa is currently working as a freelance illustrator, in the Davis Square, Somerville Area. Melissa works with pen & ink and multi-media mediums; she descirbes her process as a culmination of her organic roots in the fine arts with a contemporary persuasion geared towards communication and design. Her work has been seen in publications in the L.A., NYC, Boston, and the Washington,D.C. areas.
