I have been drawing with charcoal pencil since I was 2 years old then graduating to acrylic-pencils. I sold my first picture of a Siberian Husky when I was 11 years old. Eventually I became interested in working with paints using water, pastel, acrylic, oil and turpentine. Once I tried everything, oil ended up becoming my favorite medium to work with because of its raw brilliance and opaque density of color. I favor absorbent thin boar-hair brushes mainly for detail because I have more movement and control in the wrist, providing me with a continuous free-flow of paint. I merge technique, tools, mediums, desire, and sometimes a little food to get the task done. This approach provides me with the intended effects that I am SO striving after. I've never had training or art lessons; I just immerse my heart and soul into every subject that inspires or "shouts out" to me. I love creating new and quirky ideas for such things as clothing and cups; and I also take delight in diving deep into realism such as portraiture and landscapes, sometimes with an impressionistic flare.
