Over mij

Our radio-controlled sailboats are powered only by the wind in the sails. No propulsion motors. No propellers. This is real sailing! Show you support and love of R/C Sailing by purchasing PNMYC merchandise. A small percentage of your purchase goes to support the PNMYC. The Pacific Northwest Model Yacht Club (PNMYC, www.pnmyc.org), has free membership and is open to new and existing model boat sailors. Many of our members sail the T37 sailboat, and the Bellingham fleet meets near the swimming beach at Lake Padden in Bellingham from 10a-Noon on the first and third Sunday of every month to sail, race, and talk about boats. The Bellingham fleet’s website is here: www.pnmyc-bellingham.com. PNMYC organizes frequent fun-sails (sailing events with informal racing open to all kinds of R/C sailboats) as well as more formal racing events specifically for T37 class boats in the Pacific NW. Venues include fun-sails held bimonthly in Bellingham, Olympia, Portland OR and Treasure Valley ID; and weekly in Seattle, Port Ludlow, Olympia and Puyallup. Racing events are held bimonthly in Seattle and there are annual regattas as well; racing events generally follow the same racing rules as full-size sailboat regattas and can be very competitive. While some events require preregistration, more casual events are open to anyone and we usually have an extra boat or two you can use if you don’t have your own.
