Cowichan Paintings

My name is Talia Goldsmith and I am of the Cowichan Tribes in Duncan, BC (Vancouver Island). I am 37 and have been living here in London, Ontario since summer 2014 after hitchhiking across Canada with my London-born boyfriend (what an experience!). I am a First Nations painter and have learned and still learning from my father who still lives in Duncan BC and is a traditional and contemporary carver. I initially got comfortable with brushes when I helped my father, Lambert Goldsmith paint his carvings and also became accustomed to detailing because of my interest in nail art.
