Over mij

I was born in Chicago, Illinois and raised in a moderately well-off, mostly happy family. After high-school and a lot of religious training, I entered the convent and remained there in a vain attempt at the perfection of virtue, ultimately leaving after five years. (I "kicked the habit".) After a couple of years back in the "real" world I decided to become a stewardess for United Airlines. Out of this decision arose the nick-name "flying nun". The only artwork I completed during my airlines stint was a painting of clouds, which is understandable, considering I was in the air much of the time. After a few years of commercial art and also teaching art I gathered all of my belongings plus my two cats, Ami and Picadilly, then moved to California in 1976. I taught arts and crafts for the Department of Oakland Parks and Recreation for eight years. During that time I married and eventually moved to the coast where I now live.
